A warm hilltop house with a stone-walled bedroom and a deck built for slow mornings
Sunday earns its name. It sits up on the hill above the gardens, and it's built for the kind of morning where you're in no rush — coffee on the deck, the trees spread out below, the light coming through. If your idea of a good trip is a slow start with a pot of coffee rather than a late night out, this is your house.
The deck is the cleverest part, with three different places to sit: a hammock to swing in, a little café table for two, and a sofa to lounge on. Inside, the bedroom has a textured stone feature wall behind the bed and a vintage gold-framed painting hung slightly askew — relaxed, not formal. The open-air kitchen has a tiled counter and, on the stove, an old brass kettle that's clearly had a life before this one. The bathroom is warm and rustic, in terracotta tile with a red-orange mosaic shower floor.
It's grounded, warm and unfussy — easy to settle into, and hard to leave on a slow morning.
A 3.5-minute walk (210m) from the beach — a flat path to the restaurant, then an incline and nine steps up.
Everyone checks in at the restaurant, and our team carries your bags up to the house from there.
