Amethyst

Amethyst is built around a cluster of natural granite boulders, and one whole wall of the room is that rock — sealed and painted a deep gold so it almost glows in the evening light. The rest of the room is a rich burgundy with a white steel A-frame overhead. It sounds like it would be dark, but it isn't: three windows open onto the jungle on different sides, so it stays bright and full of air.

The bed sits on a raised platform against the maroon wall, under a wide round mosquito net. There's a step down to a lower seating area with a built-in bench and a low chair against the rock, and a little Buddha and some shells tucked into a niche in the stone. The bathroom is generous for this kind of room — a separate shower, a separate toilet, and an open vanity with a cobalt-blue glass basin set against the raw granite, open to the sky above.

Amethyst isn't fully private. You reach it by passing Turquoise's door and the shared entry, then up a set of gold-painted stairs, and there's a faint generator hum. Being upstairs gives you a bit more privacy and outlook than Turquoise, with a few more steps to get there.
