Cozy House

Cozy is our only fan-cooled house with a sea view, and the whole place is set up to face it. From the hilltop veranda the water opens up over the treetops, and there's a built-in rattan daybed positioned to look straight out to sea — which is where you'll end up for morning coffee and evening drinks.

The veranda is open-sided and easy, with red floorboards, a high white roof on whitewashed tree-trunk posts and copper lamps. The kitchen is right there on the deck — stone counter, gas hob, sink, open shelving — so you can cook with the sea in front of you. The bedroom is kept simple on purpose, since the deck and the view are the draw, and the bathroom is a nice surprise: semi-open and full of plants, almost like a little greenhouse, with a walk-in rain shower.

Honest note on the view: it's a clear, open look at the sea over the canopy, and it's lovely — and like all our houses it's tucked into the hillside, so it's a hilltop sea view rather than beachfront. You can also hear a faint hum from the generator up here.
