Sea Hug

Sea Hug is the comfortable middle ground — the only house we have that gives you a sea view and air-conditioning together, and it sits just below our top tier. If you want to cool the bedroom right down at night, cook a proper meal and catch the sea from the breakfast table, this does all three.

The house is elevated, so the balcony sits up in the treetops — covered and tiled, with a dining table, teal leather chairs and the sea showing through the palms beyond. Inside is an open-plan living room, bright and white-tiled under a high ceiling, with a sofa, gold lamps and carved Buddha masks on the walls. The kitchen is a real one: a full enclosed galley with a gas hob, a sink and a nice old-style crockery cabinet with the dishes on show.

The air-conditioned bedroom has a timber feature wall behind the bed, jungle on two sides and its own bathroom — clean and modern, with a backlit mirror, a skylight and a rain shower. Honest note on the view: it's a framed glimpse of the sea through the trees rather than a wide-open panorama, and that's exactly how to picture it.
