Palm Villa

Palm Villa is our flagship, and it works a little differently: you don't book a house, you book a whole private gated compound on a tiered slope of the hill. Two separate buildings, two air-conditioned bedrooms, a garden of your own and a gate that locks the world out. It sleeps four, but it's really about space, privacy and a bit of drama.

It's freshly renovated throughout, with tiled outdoor terraces and a warm brown exterior. The master pavilion is the most dramatic room at Spice: a soaring timber A-frame ceiling, a four-poster bed up on its own platform, a sunken lounge with silk cushions, and a gold-painted rock outcrop with gold Buddha figures set into it, lit by red lanterns. Window walls wrap it in jungle.

The second bedroom is in a separate chalet — simpler and fresh, with its own bathroom and private terrace, so a second couple or the kids have real independence. Downstairs there's an enclosed kitchen and a living room with another big gold boulder coming through the wall. This is the special-occasion house — for groups and couples who want the space, the privacy and the run of their own piece of the hillside.
