A treehouse above a seasonal waterfall — in the rains, you fall asleep to the sound of water

Jungle House is the most immersive one we have — a treehouse in everything but name. It stands on stilts above a tumble of granite boulders that form a natural waterfall basin, and in the rainy season the water runs over the rocks into a pool below. You can hear it from the deck. That sound of water moving through stone, just beneath you, is really the whole point of the house.

Even in the dry months the boulders and the pool below are worth looking at, so it's never a wait-for-rain house. The deck is built to sit up in the trees, with the railings kept low so nothing comes between you and the green, and a rope hammock strung in the canopy. Inside, there's a nice detail above the bed — a row of yellow textured-glass panes that glow amber when the light hits them — over deep mustard walls, plus a covered sofa lounge with a genuine old glass-front cabinet.

The kitchen is open to the jungle on the deck, so you cook surrounded by green, and the bathroom is the boldest on the property — small mosaic tiles in red, blue and grey covering every wall.
